SSL Labs-style Grader — SSL Grade Checker A+ Rating

A–F SSL security grade for any domain. Free SSL grade checker and rating.

An SSL Labs-style grader assigns a letter grade (A+ down to F) to a domain's SSL/TLS configuration based on criteria such as certificate validity and chain, protocol versions (prefer TLS 1.2/1.3, disable 1.0/1.1), cipher strength, key exchange (forward secrecy), and optional features like HSTS and OCSP stapling. The tool may run checks from our infrastructure and produce a report similar in spirit to Qualys SSL Labs, helping you see how your site compares to best practices and where to harden configuration. Use it to aim for an A or A+, to prepare for audits, and to fix common issues (weak ciphers, old protocols, missing stapling) that lower the grade. Results are for the tested endpoint and time; re-run after changes to verify improvements.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get an A+?

Strong cert chain, TLS 1.2/1.3 only, strong ciphers with forward secrecy, HSTS, and OCSP stapling. The grader report will list missing items.

Is this the same as Qualys SSL Labs?

It is inspired by that approach (grade + criteria). For the official grade, use the Qualys SSL Labs server test.

Why did my grade drop?

Certificate expiry, config change, or stricter grading criteria. Re-run the test and check the report for each category.

Does it test all ciphers?

Many graders probe supported protocols and ciphers and penalize weak or deprecated ones. Check the tool's documentation for scope.

Can I test pre-production?

Only if the grader can reach the host (e.g. staging URL). Internal or non-routable hosts may require a different tool.
